About the Photographer
Artist and photographer Maya Gilliam takes us into glimpses of black life in Washington DC with her images. Gilliam is also an entrepreneur running her own multimedia web and graphic design firm, iiieyedigital. Currently enrolled in the National Black Programming Consortium (NBPC) New Media Institute for 2007, Gilliam will also turn her lens to documenting the Mississippi Blues trail this fall along with 25 other filmmakers of color, as part of the NBPC's New Media Institute 2007 in Jackson, Mississippi.
